Worst Meatball Sandwich - EVER!
Content marketing FTW
The takeaway for you as owners is that someone was motivated to write about this business; there’s more content, more pixels, more information about it out there in the ether.
The more content there is about your business, the more likely it is you will be found.
But not all content is good, right?
Sure – if the reviewer had written that he found a dead baby in his sandwich – then they’d have bigger problems than a shitty write up – but in the world of consumer generated content (CGC,) 9 times out of 10, all content is good content.
Major caveat here – if your business sucks – then so will your CGC.
It’s about creativity
Content marketing is not a production line; yes tools like editorial calendars and KPIs will help you execute a strategy, but it’s the unique, genius pieces of content like this that will impact your bottom line.
No business would ever have thought of this approach and yet they were able to turn a potentially bad review into a piece of content that got them on the front page of the Huffington Post.
What are you doing?
Are you doing anything that would stimulate customers and clients to write about you? Are you encouraging people to comment on your website, on Facebook, on Yelp? Are you tracking what people are saying?
